Greetings. My name is Stan Taylor, and I'm a quality assurance architect here at Borland. I am honored to have been part of Borland's first agile team and to have been involved in the rollout of the agile methodology here at Borland. Recently, I've been involved in the effort to implement usage of Borland's BMS products to manage our own software development and delivery business.
I'm having a terrible time writing this introductory post. OK, let me see if I can pinpoint the problem...
I'm a cynic. Everything that I start to write here makes me feel like I'm a cheerleader for Borland. If I were reading it, I'd think it was just marketing babble. But the truth is, Borland's commitment to agile has led to very high job satisfaction for me, and it helped me to tie together a lot of thoughts about process that I've long held.
I started my own agile testing blog earlier this year as a place to work out these thoughts and to get feedback from others. In this blog, I hope to share more of the specific experiences I've had here at Borland that have made me feel so enthusiastic, as well as some of the challenges we've faced and how we've tried to address them.
